How do the rent reviews work?
At all Juli homes, rent is reviewed twice a year: on July 1st and January 1st. The updated rent amount is communicated during the preceding month, and the new rents take effect on the review dates. However, a review date does not automatically mean that the rent will increase—we may also decide not to raise it.
If your lease has just started, the rent has already been adjusted to reflect the current market situation and local cost trends. However, as the review dates apply to all of our apartments, we cannot guarantee that your rent will remain unchanged for the entire duration of a fixed-term lease, for example.
The amount of the rent adjustment is tied to the cost-of-living index, meaning the maximum increase is the change in the index plus either 1.5 or 2.5 percentage points, depending on the terms of your lease. A detailed explanation of the rent adjustment model can be found in your lease agreement.
